A very successful 2014!

This year has been spectacular and by no means quiet! Below we’ve given you a quick run down of our best wines and the events that they’ve been to this year!

Applause wineNew to our range for 2014, ‘Applause’ has quickly established itself as a highly popular and very appropriate brand for Festivals of the Performing Arts. WOMAD, renowned World Music Festival, created by Genesis’ Peter Gabriel, featured ‘Applause’ in all its bars and enabled festival goers to enjoy a full sized bottle of wine with friends, whilst keeping the site free of potentially hazardous glass waste.

We were also honoured to have been served at BBC Proms in the Park and our range Beach Life was also served alongside Jamie Oliver’s pre-ordered picnic hampers. Hay Literary Festival, Chris Evans Children in Need, Car-Fest, Towersey Festival, Richmond Athletic Club, Wychwood Festival, End of the Road Festival, Greenbelt, the list goes on. Event Wine Solutions has had a busy year and we’re equally proud to be at each and every one of our events!

Our range, ‘Beach Life’ was the first to reach out to wine lovers looking to enjoy a glass or two on the sand, watching the sun go down. Created from our French Varietal range, we’re proud to have been at a rich mix of events, such as: The prestigious Beach Polo championships at Sandbanks, Poole Bournemouth Air Festival, with a hugely loyal following of over 1m visitors each year, we were also at Electric Beach Festival on the legendary Watergate Bay, North Cornwall.Love Saves the Day Festival in central Bristol – we’ve never seen so many guys drinking Rosé wine! Lovebox Festival in London, where (tragically) our wines sold out within hours of the first day of two, proving the case for quality wine served in the full sized 75cl format.

Bedford River festivalThe Yardarm range was developed with a nautical twist, for use at watery events, such as Falmouth Tall Ships and Bedford River Festival. It also featured in Edinburgh during the Festival Fringe. We plan to build on the theme in 2015, through a presence at Regattas, Boat Shows and Cowes Week. After all, isn’t the only breakable thing in a boat’s galley the bottle of wine? And anyway, “When the Sun’s Over The Yardarm”, is more than adequate justification for opening a bottle of our wine.

Larmer Tree festivalThis year, Event Wine Solutions provided bespoke wine labels for, amongst others, The Larmer Tree Festival, Cornbury Music Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival. Using our own design team to manipulate existing Festival artwork, we developed wine labels that were applied to our selection of popular French wines. Delivered to the bar Operators directly and offered sale or return, they proved popular with the event organisers, who identified the benefits of widening the reach of their festival brand.Consumers bought into the package, trusting their favourite festival to have selected good wines to bear the name.

We’re adding exciting new ranges of wines in full sized 75cl bottles in 2015. The same rigorous wine selection process that has won over so many bar operators, festival organisers and consumers alike will be applied to any new products, by Director of 30 years wine trade experience, Paul Scaife. Cambridge folk festNot content with adding more full sized, unbreakable PET bottles, Event Wine Solutions is also looking to other size formats and ways in which quality wine can be served in glass free environments.
